Central Steam Power Plant – May 2007
Central Steam Power Plant in Fitchburg, MA was a great place to explore. It was always a reliable, interesting place to bring explorers visiting from other states or to go when you wanted to take some photos but didn’t want to deal with a big hassle. The entrance was simple but not necessarily obvious if…
Jane Cooper Elementary School
Jane Cooper Elementary, to me, was a sort of the ultimate representation of what Detroit had become by the time I was visiting there. The entire neighborhood around the school had been razed leaving only empty streets with the abandoned school standing in the middle.
Worcester State Hospital
Unfortunately my risk tolerance wasn’t quite high enough to see as much of Worcester as I wanted, but I did manage to get a few shots inside during the demolition, including of the famed camera obscura which was created by a hole in one of the boards over the windows. This was also the site…

Northampton State Hospital – Trip 3
At this point, I was obsessed with exploring Northampton State Hospital – I was driving 2 hours out to Northampton every weekend. Definitely something that, in retrospect, I am incredibly happy I did. I had a pretty short window before this place was demolished and I can truly say that I visited this incredible place…
