My 5th trip to Northampton State Hospital<\/a> finally led me to the morgue. It was located in a dark corridor in the basement underneath the main cafeteria which you could only get to through the theater<\/a>, and I had never been able to find it despite knowing the general location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of my regrets about Northampton is not taking more time to explore the basement. At the time, my interest in photography vastly outweighed my interest in exploration and I figured there was probably not much more to see down there in the dark. While true, in retrospect I wish I had taken more time to see everything I could possibly see. There were some areas with notoriously squishy floors that I also avoided, but I wish I had at least taken some time to see if I could find a reasonably stable path through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\t\t
