Some friends of mine had never been to Northampton and, with demolition looming, I offered to make another pre-dawn assault on the place with them. Naturally, they didn’t wake up in time but I am not complaining.
During this trip, I took a turn around the outside of the Kirkbride and then decided to try to infiltrate the Memorial Complex across the street. There was not much cover around the memorial complex, so it seemed like a good idea to try and enter the complex in the early hours before traffic on the road between the two portions of the hospital stepped up. Legend had it that there was a tunnel between the two sections of the campus, but that it had been closed off years ago.
Sadly, this was my last trip to the hospital before they demolished the Kirkbride.
