City Ξ Friso Streets

After my class on Tuesday, I went into San Francisco to do some night shooting. I got some interesting panos of the Golden Gate which I'll save for another time. I had to visit the legendary Lombard St. and squeeze the Caddy through it's tight curves. This shot was taken at the top of the curvy section while listening to the clanking and rattling of the cables which pull the famous cable cars up the hill.

Everyone knows San Francisco is hilly, but it's hard to comprehend just how steep the hills are until you visit. California seemed to me like a place where man is able to live, but also a place where man never totally conquered nature. The landscape dominates the's impossible to ignore the rolling hills of the suburbs, the hills which surround silicon valley, or the incredibly steep hills of San Francisco leading down into the bay.
