Surreal night shot. With the crane ceter frame it gives some of the focus to the background.
Great composition. The first thought I had was "War of Worlds" and the second one -a little bit more reflexive- was about industrialization/urbanization/despersonalization: Are the modern big cities being built for the people or for themselves?

Some thing about this one really intrigues me! Maybe because I have a personal attachment as an Ironworker, the crane is our heart beat, the city is our lifes accomplishment. I really love this photograph! It posses nostalgic as well as modern qualities. This crane is old and the city a sign of life in the modern style. The crane is at least thirty five years old at a very conservative estimate! I would like to find out how I can buy a copy, nice work!
