Seaside Regional Center

Seaside Regional Center opened in 1919. The center was subsequently converted to the Seaside Geriatric Hospital and then to the Seaside Regional Center for the Mentally Retarded before closing in 1996.

Seaside was in an excellent location to visit on a nice day, but was not the most interesting place to explore. The older building on campus, while incredible on the outside, was empty and boring inside. The "lighthouse building" was somewhat more interesting despite it's more modern exterior.
