The dead grasses in the foreground add to the feeling of abandonment. Great shot.
The dark colors of the grass and the leafless trees really set the mood for abandonment. The open sky and shady clouds also add to the mood of this photo as well. Nice composition.
Seems unreal to have this kind of abandonment on waterfront property...it's usually so expensive.

There was definitely a sense of sadness seeing the long row of abandoned houses looking out at the ocean. If I lived here, I would not want to give up my property so easily either.
