The shallow depth of field evokes/conveys emotion in this shot giving the out of focus house a nostalgic feel. The soft almost monochrome color also add to a feeling of something remembered.

As soon as I saw this image, the lyrics of The Police song 'Synchronicity II' popped into my head. While this shot is more uplifting than the song, it still conveys a sense of solitude.
