Beautiful shot. The contrast between the light and dark is great. Really mirrors your words nicely.

Really nice set on Beth. Good to see some decent photography. The set in the gas blowing engine room is tasty. It's a great room.

You might be interested in some of mine. It's on my website blog and there's also some on the flickr link at the blog "info". The flickr material is set to friends only to stop the lurking of my work. Toronto UE people are terrible for this. If you want to see all the flickr material contact me thru flickr and I'll set you to "friend". I'm not concerned about people from outside Toronto seeing this material.

cheers Jan

Star of Bethlehem

As we summited the blast furnace we were able to look out over the town which supported the thousands of people who worked here. The scene was tinged with sadness, though, since the steel itself was cold and dark against the vibrant light of the town below. Many people were put out of work when the mill closed, and many jobs were lost to overseas companies. For many this place forged the American Dream as much as it forged steel, and today that opportunity is no longer available.
