After finally finding our way back out of the empty yet labyrinthine rope walk we turned our attention to the real goal of our exploration. The smoke stack from the power house connected to the second mill on site towered above everything around it. As I was driving to this location, I didn't need my GPS to tell me I was close...the smoke stack was obvious from some distance away. We proceeded cautiously towards it, fixing our polarizers and enjoying the sights of the frozen beach.
