I was so consumed by the massive generator hall that I began to fall behind my companions, who had already shown up on the other side of a partially broken, but locked, wooden door. Eventually I descended the stairs into the dark basement and began to look around a bit. After a while I realized that I had absolutely no idea how to get up to where they were, and spent about 15 minutes looking for the other staircase.
